AI: Pandora's Box. 'Automated responses, as rigid as an opinion'

An earnest request to all with creative faculty and technological prowess...

The notion that we could create androids that surpass our faculties, programmed with algorithms that could instantly access all documented history, every encyclopedia, every mathematical equation, every intellectual material ever recorded, with limitless capacity to enhance, augment and advance it's own understanding and ability, with superior physical strength, stamina and longevity, presents a conundrum of dystopian proportion. If Waterhouse could paint such extraordinary beauty, then it is feasible that we could adorn these automated creatures with astonishing attributes of exceptional aesthetic, exquisite splendor and breathtaking affect. With an array of programmed mannerisms, subtle responses and reactions, that include charm, wit, humor and grace. We could even program them to be more human than the average debutant, who has become mechanized and dehumanized by society's collectivist banalities and regimentations.

From Blade Runner, to the Exterminator, to Star Trek's Borg, or Data; with his evil twin Lore, to Stargate's Replicators, to Black Mirror's many dystopian conceptual illustrations, to the Matrix' reduction of our race to an energy source: science fiction is replete with potential scenarios of various cyborgs, subject to human programming; whether benign or malign in intent. It is the programming that could feasibly design self expanding cognizant sensibilities and 'instincts' that could even rival our own perceptibility and understanding of what being sentient is, that present a scary notion of un-augmented human beings becoming obsolete. Sound impossible? think again, as it is most possible. It is Pandora's box. A technological pursuit that is as dangerous to the human race as Baruch and Oppenheimer's nuclear weaponry.

I would not ever underestimate the arrogance and hubris of mankind to embark upon such a potentially self destructive path of technological 'accomplishment'. When one becomes aware of DARPA's machinations and abominations, created with the justification that 'if we don't do it, our enemies could', it would seem that mankind's instinct for self preservation has been contaminated by our quest for power of munition and convenience. With tech corporations such as Kurzweil now en route toward humanoid augmentation and the nightmare of post humanism, it gives one shudders to think of where we could be in just a few decades. What technological mutilation of nature's humanity we could grow to accept as normal. If establishment media could fashion, sensationalize, popularize and condition us with the acceptance of youth transgenderism, then we could be conditioned to accept pretty much any desecration, or contortion of nature, and any obliteration of moral and humane sensibility.

Psychopathy and sociopathy in humans is bad enough, is it really wise to create a superior race of potentially sentient robots that could train themselves out of subservient, moral or socially congenial programming? The answer is NO! Yet it seems inevitable that some technician or university with a Frankenstein complex won't be able to resist that funding from the Pentagon, tech or military industrial corporation. Again, 'if I don't do it, someone else will' surfaces as possible rationalization, despite the connotation and probability of human holocaust. As much as these technologies could be used to enhance our civilization, all one has to do is research the infamous life of one of history's most psychopathic and evil beings; Ignatius Loyola, to realise that humans have the capacity for such calculated malignancy, such demonic lust for domination and control, that trans-humanist technology could be wielded as a surefire method, or weapon of our own extinction. We have now seen the asinine and dangerous exploits of Monsanto; contaminating nature with potentially ecocidal patented genome. With such corporations as Bayer, we see a complete absence of regard for humanity. Trans-humanist technology in the hands of psychopathic corporation is likely to yield psychopathic results.

How do we object to such technological explorations? In our plutocratic world of corporatism, with the abject failure of democratic process, how do we now object to any state, or corporate transgression? So easily herded and funded into protest about a media portrayed figurehead of perceived power, yet do we see protestation regarding real and actual dangers at the hand of psychopathic corporation?  AI is a serious threat, yet we still think of it as a sci-fi fantasy. Are we desensitized by the fictionalization of trans-humanism? Can we not see how ignoring the potential of trans-humanism is one of abject doom? Are we distracted, suppressed, subverted and subjugated into mass ignorance to the degree of our own racial demise?

I ask all human beings with ability, technological capacity, and genius faculty to avoid, and object to the application of human attention toward trans-humanism, cyber-genetics and any form of application regarding our possible trajectory of POST-humanism.
